Belo Horizonte's Tips and Tricks

Hello Readers !

Today we're going to give you the best tips for surviving a weekend in Belo Horizonte!

If you're going to our city by plane, you'll probably arrive at Confins's airport, wich is half an hour travel to the capital. You can take a taxi, our city's taximen are very kind.

One of the best neightborhoods of Belo Horizonte is Savassi. It is sorrounded by every kind of shops, but you have to know how to pick the good ones, because most of them are too expensive. And there are also the shopping centers, that are usually acessible to everyone. There are Pátio Savassi, Diamond Mall, BH Shopping and Minas Shopping (the more popular) and Shopping Cidade and Del Rey Shopping (usually more cheap) .

You should also visit our museaums, too. They are very interesting places, and also full of culture. There is the São Francisco de Assis Church, located on Pampulha, wich is a place that really symbolizes our city.

Belo Horizonte is full of every kind of good, different, quality restaurants all around it. A good thing about it is that we have many restaurants with many kinds of food; you can eat whatever you want! Japenese food, Italian food, American food ... But if you want to try real Minas Gerais's food, we have excellent self-service restaurants : Pocão, Fogo de Chão, Dona Conceição, Baby Beef. Those restaurants can be a little expensives, but their food worths the price (and they are also in costant promotions) .

Now about where to stay. If you want best-quality (however expensive) hotels, you might want to stay at Ouro Minas (Avenida Cristiano Machado, 4001 - Ipiranga - Belo Horizonte - MG. - 3429-4000) or Mercure's hotel (Rua Guajajaras 885 - 32984100). But if you want more accessibility, there are also other great hotels such as Boulevard's .
